eachers, especially middle school teachers, has been relatively low, leading to many teachers leaving the education sector, and the continuous loss of educational resources. After promulgating the policy of implementing performance pay in 2009, the implementation situation in different places is not very optimistic. This paper analyses the incentive situation of performance pays to teachers in Shuocheng No. 1 Middle School of Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province, through the combination of literature research and questionnaire research. The survey shows that the implementation of performance pay has not produced the imaginary incentive effect, and the incentive effect is comparable. At the same time, teachers’ enthusiasm for work and further study has not been enhanced because of the implementation of performance pay. The main reason is that the performance pay system is not reasonable and scientific. In order to improve the incentive effect of performance pay on teachers, we should improve the evaluation mechanism of teachers’ performance, the distribution mechanism of teachers performance pay, the responsibility supervision of performance pay, and pay attention to the construction of teachers’ spiritual incentive and positive and healthy campus culture.
