ABSTRACT
With the continuous development of social economy, the old city, as an early construction area in the process of urban development, gradually loses its vitality and no longer becomes a highly urbanized area in the city. At present, many old urban areas in China have the problems of chaotic spatial structure and lack of vitality. In the planning and design of urban space in old urban areas, there are the problems of single planning mode and lack of urban cultural characteristics. How to rationally plan and design the space of the old city so as to realize the space Renaissance of the old city has become a topic that people pay more and more attention to. This article explores the revival of the old city space planning and design, the method of taking source of qingyang city of chengdu as an example, combed the source of qingyang citys spatial location, traffic space structure, space structure and the structure of green space and tries to summarize evaluation, and the general source of chengdu qingyang city street area of space reconstruction planning and design as an example is described in detail based on the planning and design of the space structure of old town to restore the old space dynamic method.
