摘 要

6 CASES OF PYOMETRA COMPLICATED BY RENAL DYSFUNCTION IN OLDER DOGS
ABSTRACT
Pyometra is a highrisk reproductive disease in adult intact female dogs. The elder the dog is, the higher risk of morbidity they will have.Also, the risk of treatment increases. Because the toxins produced can enter the blood circulation, many dogs with pyometra will have different degrees of kidney damage during the course of the disease, causing different degrees of renal dysfunction and may develop into chronic renal failure. In order to optimize treatment and improve prognosis, it is necessary to check and analyze kidney function of affected dogs early. In addition to kidney damage caused by pyometra itself, surgery, anesthesia and treatment may also cause damage to kidneys, so the degree of kidney damage should also be evaluated throughout the treatment. In the paper, 6 cases of pyometra complicated by renal dysfunction in elderly dogs were selected, and their clinical symptoms, laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging tests and treatment results were recorded to provide basic diagnosis and treatment ideas for similar cases in the future. At the same time, the medical history, diagnosis methods, treatment methods and prognosis of the cases are analyzed and summarized, and the key points during perioperative monitoring and management in elderly dogs were discussed. The results show that the mostly used treatment is ovarian hysterectomy. During the perioperative period, attention should be paid to the medication selected and monitoring of elderly dogs. During the entire treatment process, it is necessary to focus on monitoring kidney damage. Finally, for some special cases, the paper also discusses the possibility of alternative treatment.
