Experimental Research on Exploratory Information Search Behavior of Novice Users of Academic Database

Abstract: This study mainly investigates the behavioral changes of the novice users in the literature database during the exploratory information search process and the characteristics of its changes, and analyzes the characteristics of the changes, and finally gives some suggestions. The methods, habits, and strategies for searching for academic information of college readers who have not studied the retrieval system are investigated by designing test task books according to experimental requirements and drawing the concept maps. Afterwards, the test task book and the data and results in the video were compared and analyzed. The study found that through the exploratory information search, the subjects knowledge structure and mental model changed significantly. With the knowledge structure from simple to complex, and never recognized more professional and constantly updated, the search behavior of the subjects was also From fast browsing to meticulous retrieval. The practical enlightenment of this research is: For the future research of exploratory information search behavior, we should pay more attention to the theory and practice, focus on the interaction with the subjects, as well as integrated use of a variety of experimental methods to carry out multiangle experimental research.

引言
随着计算机和网络的快速发展，现如今在互联网上进行信息的搜索以及获取对于现在的人们来说已经非常普遍。在互联网飞速发展的今天，几乎所有想要找到的信息都能通过网络引擎搜索而获取，在这其中人们总是会反映出各种各样不同的信息搜索行为。简单来说信息搜索行为就是人们在信息获取的过程中而产生的思维方式、知识结构、检索策略等；人们总是通过提出问题，然后通过不断寻找问题的答案从而解决问题，在网络上亦是如此。那么对于一些较为复杂的，相对来说比较难以解答的问题来说，人们在网络上的探索式的信息搜索行为便是一个值得去研究的领域和方向，研究人们不同的搜索行为和搜索方式，提高搜索引擎的检索效率，以及提高读者用户等的检索效率。探索式信息搜索行为是指搜索者在找寻自己所想要获得的信息的过程中，所反映出来的有对于知识结构，心智模型等的变化。搜索者的搜索行为也在随着探索式任务的进行而不断发生变化。本研究旨在研究用户完成探索式信息搜索任务过程中其知识结构的变化。
